1. Latch Adjustment
    • To fit the 2-3/8" (60 mm) or 2-3/4" (70 mm) backset*, the latch needs to be adjusted. To adjust the length, twist the faceplate to extend the latch length untilit stops. It will fit the 2-3/4" (70 mm) backset. Reverse the direction to fit the 2-3/8" (60 mm) backset.  *Backset refers to the distance from the door edge to the center of the bore hole on the door.
  2. Drive-in Latch (If required)
    • Remove original latch faceplate. Align the drive-in sleeve as illustrated and snap into the latch case.
  3. Install Latch
    • Make sure the arrow mark on the latch pointing up before inserting the latch.
    • Insert the latch into the door and use 2 wood screws to secure the latch. 
    • Or push the latch into the hole on edge of door if you choose to use the drive-in latch.


    • Install the strike plate into your door frame and tighten it with wood screws.
  4. Install Keypad Assembly
    • Install the cylinder into the keypad assembly with the tailpiece in horizontal position inserted through hub of the latch.
    • Route the cable below the latch to the interior side of the door.
  5. Install Mounting Plate on the Inside of your Door
    • Route the cable through the bottom hole of the mounting plate. Fix the mounting plate with screws. If the exterior keypad assembly is lopsided, loosen the screws to adjust its position and tighten the screws again. 

  6. Identify Door Handing
    • Face the door from the outside. the door is left-handed if the hinges are on the left side of the door, whereas the door is right-handed if the hinges are on the right side of the door.
  7. Adjust Thumb Turn Piece
    • Rotate the thumb turn piece to the LEFT at 45 degrees for right-handed doors.
    • Rotate the thumb turn piece to the RIGHT at 45 degrees for left-handed doors. Note that the thumb turn piece is opposite to the latching side.
  8. Install Interior Assembly
    • Take off the battery cover (push it up first and then pull it out).
    • Connect the cable to the back of the interior assembly. Ensure that the deadbolt tailpiece is engaged with the turn piece, and then attach the interior assembly onto the mounting plate on the door with screws.
  9. Insert Batteries
    • Insert 4 (AA) 1.5 V alkaline batteries and slide the battery cover back onto the interior assembly. After the lock is powered, welcome beeps should be heard. Note: Please use alkaline batteries. Do Not use rechargeable batteries.
  10. Install Reagle app and follow the instructions in the app to set up your lock.
